Synopsis/Details
Supai Village in Arizona has a problem -- a giant problem. It seems every ten years people disappear and nobody knows where they went. Forced to return to the most remote village in the U.S for her mother's funeral, Native American FBI agent, Enola Campbell, is suddenly immersed in a cover-up -- a cover-up that may mean her mother didn't commit suicide after all. Now, whoever is responsible is after her. Left for dead in the Mojave, Enola wakes to find she’s in another world... a world made up of prehistoric creatures, Navajo spirits, skin walkers and an eight foot tall alien marooned there thousands of years ago. Teenagers in Supai nicknamed him “The Ferry Man”, but Navajo elders call him what he's always been called -- Yé’iitsoh, a legendary giant known for snatching victims, ferrying them across the desert and eating them alive. It’s not until Enola’s house is reported to have gone up in flames that her boss sends her counterpart, Bentner, to find out where she is. But, to do so, Bentner will have to push aside any misconceptions he has about native American lore in order to bring her back. Not just anyone can enter the spirit world and hope to return whole. It takes a good soul, a man that loves her, to make the journey without getting lost. Little does he know, his arrival is being monitored. Seems the U.S. government has a vested interest in keeping the Ferry Man where he is. Access is limited to only one man, Ross, and he wants to know how Bentner got in. Because, if Bentner and others can get in then Ferry Man can get out and he's not about to let that happen.
