Synopsis/Details
Dylan Cooper was one of the most skilled and seasoned stunt men in Hollywood, bordering on legendary. He had a beautiful wife, a 13-year-old daughter who idolized him, and more money than he knew what to do with. He was living the dream, until…
A head injury ended his career. And when the money ran out, so did his wife. Dylan found himself in the middle of a contemptuous divorce with no job and nothing driving him to get out of bed in the morning. Then he found inspiration in the only hero he’s ever had… COLT SEAVERS, the character played by Lee Majors on the hit 80’s action show, The Fall Guy.
At 52 years old, Dylan decides to become a bounty hunter and dives blindly into the unfamiliar and dangerous world of fugitive recovery. Having battled hundreds upon hundreds of bad guys in the movies, Dylan assumes his talent and experience as a stunt man would make it an easy transition. He was wrong. Dylan is completely unprepared for dealing with real-life criminals. Unable to apprehend high-dollar “skips,” Dylan scrapes by week to week, catching petty thieves, barely making enough to buy frozen dinners and pay rent on a studio apartment with holes in the floor.
Desperate to support himself and provide a good life for his daughter, he has no choice but to team up with Deborah Hayden, a person he considers to be one of the worst types in Hollywood, the lowest of the low, unethical, amoral, and soul-sucking… a reality show producer. Although Deborah quickly discovers that Dylan is by all measures a terrible bounty hunter, he does have one thing working for him, a knack for escaping danger. He launches recklessly into sketchy situations, hoping to fight, drive, fall, or fly his way out… and that makes for great TV.
Deborah takes on the monumental task of turning an aging former stunt man into a reality action star. Now Dylan has to become a real-life Fall Guy, and he has to do it with millions of people watching.
