Synopsis/Details
A bankrupt factory owner visits an old, aristocratic friend, begging him for the money he needs to avoid complete ruin. His eccentric friend however is not quite the easy mark he’d hoped for but rather seems intent on playing a cat and mouse psychological game, one which will require the supplicant to prove his friendship in the most murderous manner. This is a suspense/murder and sort of an homage to Oscar Wilde with a Roald Dahl twist thrown in. The period is deliberately ambiguous but is supposed to hint at the late 1920's. The script requires two interior locations (a study and a basement) and requires no effects other than a couple of gun shots. This script has been made into a short film (directed by Mavis. D. Nobleman),updating the story to modern day America. You can watch it at the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teMYitJ2J7w
