Synopsis/Details
Shot as an art film, it is also a dark comedy that touches on and sometimes mocks the aforementioned issues. While a lot of what happens in the story is funny, the reality is, this film is a tragedy based on some real life experiences of my own. Agents of an unnamed organization, TONY and ADAM meet at a strange bar to discuss and begin ADAM’s training. TONY is a veteran agent who doesn’t take his position very seriously, and eventually this leads to trouble for ADAM and himself. The reality of this film is that Tony and Adam are actually dead. It has been a year or more since Tony’s passing. This group of people are “The Time Travelers Club”, traveling through time to a place in their hearts and minds when Tony was still alive. When Rob and I were writing this, we watched Beetlejuice and applied one of the jokes to our characters. Intentional or not, Tony and Adam died by their own actions, condemning them to public service in the afterlife. Their job is essentially to stop bad things from happening to good people. The sad fact is that Rob took his own life in March this year. There is heavy use of metaphorical devices, as well as literary quotes that apply to the situations Tony and Adam are in.
