Synopsis/Details
MSG Tom "Meech" Meecham is a highly decorated and dedicated Special Operations soldier. His loving and devoted wife, Angie, finally convinces Meech that his next mission will be his last so they can retire and build their beautiful beach house on the water. The Special Forces team deploys to Yemen to assist the Saudi led coalition. A joint operations raid to gather intelligence goes horribly wrong, leaving Meech and the team to brutally fight their way out of the situation. The team returns home, with their dead and wounded. Meech and his team mate, and best friend Chris, get away together to help Meech struggle through the demons and violence in his head that has impacted his marriage. Meech begins his process of self discovery and acceptance, leading himself and Chris to finally understand that their reality may not be as it has always seemed. This is not a standard "war movie". While it does have scenes of heavy and intense combat it is more of a story of the mind, brotherhood, and physical and psychological scars of the Special Forces Operator. It is based loosely on some events that have shaped me into the man I am today, and also allowed me to think deeper about what ultimately may have happened to some of my comrades. It is a violent, yet spiritual story. There has not been a person who has read it yet that has not shed a tear. I hope you enjoy it.
