Synopsis/Details
ONE PAGE SYNOPSIS FOR TRANSBAY TERROR
Feature Length Action Script
Over half a million people travel on the public train transportation every day in the San Francisco Bay Area. One day, during the city’s bustling Christmas festivities, terrorists take over a train as it travels through the Transbay tube, a tube of tunnels that the public transportation trains travel through, under the ocean to and from San Francisco and Oakland. The terrorists detonate an explosive device, demolishing most of the train, creating a hole in the tube.
There are a few survivors after the train explosion. Leading the survivors is Jake Modoc, an ex-street fighter turned rookie Police Officer, with a reckless motivation of bravery. Jake befriends Si’mon, a twelve-year-old boy, not a fan of bravery with an innovative mind of a borderline genius.... as they bond, fighting for their lives to escape the flooding tunnel.
Joining them throughout their journey is a petty thief, a techie, an older man of distinction, a know it all, a construction worker and a couple of young women in elf costumes, whom are dealing with the after effects of partaking in the holiday festivities prior to the crash.
The only communication to the outside world is to a 911 dispatcher, Maggie, whom happens to be a past crush of Jake’s. His relentless banter with her, drives her determination to help him beyond any expectations of her position.
As Jake and the other survivors travel through the tunnels within the tube, fighting the terrorists and staying ahead of the rushing ocean water, Maggie is faced with the knowledge that the train explosion was just the beginning of the terror. The FBI discovered the terrorists’ plan to release a toxic gas to paralyze a huge portion of San Francisco’s population through the vent system of the Transbay tube into the streets of the city.
Maggie races against the FBI to keep them from closing the ends of the Transbay tube before Jake can get the survivors out. However, once Jake Modoc is made aware of the toxic gas stashed in the tunnel, the rescue plan pivots.
