After earth is turned into a vassal state by a galactic superpower called The Hegemony, a vessel bound for the heart of Hegemony territory bearing tribute in the form of five of earth's greatest martial artists is hijacked. It's up to the captain to set earth's mightiest warriors free in order to save the ship.
