Synopsis/Details
Takes place in a local mall, similar to Rec the mall gets closed off to prevent infection to the outside world. the protagonists learn that using a car they can drive through out of the building to an escape route the military has set up on the roof for the uninfected, they must use a car to protect them from the zombies and other plot reasons.
The basic idea is a comedy film (like a monty python movie) gone horribly wrong. the scenes introducing our characters would show the main protagonist in this case is a straight man (the person who takes everything very seriously and is grounded in reality) as well as an ensemble (authority figures who behave like idiots) as well as some other characters. one who early in the film has his car break down so he steals another car for no reason.
Once the zombie outbreak occurs the protagonists must travel through the mall witnessing many people die, slowly the protagonists are killed off one by one in unnecessary ways where they could have easily been saved but people just let them die for no good or bad reason.
The movie ends with the main protagonist and the guy who stole the car earlier in the film unlocking a door they saw earlier in the film, this time on the other side. They locate the car, they break into it. zombies can be heard in the distance, they turn on the car and drive a few metres only for the cars battery to blow a fuse. the movie ends with the ironic realisation that one of the characters who died earlier was a car mechanic and that they could have easily saved them yet didn't leaving them for certain death. we don't see the protagonists die nor any zombies approaching them but we can hear zombies nearby and since they give up at the end its safe to say they die offscreen
