Synopsis/Details
In the near future, Earth is bathed in a mysterious alien downpour known only as the Black Rain—an oily, sentient liquid that rewrites the biology of anything it touches. It doesn’t kill, it converts. Humanity’s cities crumble as the infected become the Harbingers—twisted puppets of a hive-mind alien intelligence.
Amid the chaos, Dr. Mara Voss, a biologist who lost her family to the infection, isolates herself in an abandoned research facility. When she discovers a young girl seemingly immune to the Rain, Mara is thrust into a desperate mission to protect the child, expose the alien network’s hive, and deliver a message of hope to a world drowning in darkness.
As resistance movements collapse and the Harbingers evolve into monstrous warforms, Mara realizes the aliens are not invaders—they are harvesters. Earth was seeded long ago, and now the crop is ripe.
Dark, emotionally intense, and relentless in its tension, When the Black Rain Falls is a cinematic blend of psychological horror and sci-fi action, exploring grief, guilt, and the cost of survival.
