Shape Drifter
A Seedy driver picks up an odd drifter.

They say you should never, ever hitchhike.

Especially if you’re female, and the driver of the car that stops you is male. Because you never know what predators are out there… until it’s far too late.

Well, apparently Madeline Kyle never got that essential talk from Dear Old Mom.

Because when Tina Balli’s short first opens, the view is a gas station on a deserted, desert highway. Not an auspicious place to be. Even in the best of times.

It’s at that so-inherently-dangerous hot-spot where Madelyn hitches a lift from Derek. Though anyone with common sense would’ve let THAT car pass her by:

DEREK, a middle aged driver leans toward the open passenger window. His slick back hair and 60’s glasses give him the look of an outdated serial killer.

But – told to “hop in” – Madelyn does.

Almost instantly, Derek’s showing signs that he’s not a savory character to hang out with.

They cruise along the highway. He looks at her face in the rear view mirror, and those blue eyes. His hand touches his groin as she flicks her long hair from her face.

DEREK
It’ll be dark soon. You know,
maybe you should stay at my cabin tonight,
and we can work out a route for you in the morning.

Uh-oh – this doesn’t sound good. Especially after Derek drives off road to a cabin.

Is Madelyn about to get a lesson in Fatal Mistakes 101?

A mere 3 pager, Drifter turns the tables in ways you WON’T expect. So directors – grab this one for a shoot that’ll leave your audience satisfied. Though Derek…? Probably, not so much!
