Synopsis/Details
A woman hitches a lift from a seedy middle aged Derek. He is turned on by her appearance, checking her out from time to time in his rear mirror as she sits in the back seat. Meanwhile, a cop checks over the dead body of an identical woman in the gas station toilet, Madeline Kyle.
Derek takes his hitcher along the highway, watching her as she checks her map, showing the Nevada desert, then asks her name as she discovers her I.D...identical to Madeline's. He gets excited as she finds a lipstick in her backpack, and slowly, unevenly, wipes her lips.She speaks strangely, toneless, as she answers his questions. Finally, he invites her to his cabin off road, as she asks for help to find home. Thinking he's in for a good night, he pulls up to his cabin.
His final look in the mirror sees her alien black eyes and her long tongue reaches out to his neck, killing him as he slumps out of the half open door during a failed escape. She takes on his appearance, her black eyes finally turning to human form. She drives away. We see the car from a distance, a blot on the Nevada landscape. Her voice is heard.. I am coming home.
