Now, I get that screenwriters write shorts in the hope of a production option (free). To get recognized for a name/voice that we hold dear. Through which, we in the hope of a big company spotting us (talent) - What are your thoughts?
Now, okay. Me, that short only took me one day to write! But, it's my creation - talent! ~ Pay me something for it? $100 / 200? ~ Mr. Film maker, it is after all why you made contact with me.
What are your thoughts hereto?
A happy new year. And, Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I had a "perils of racism" themed short I wrote years ago which I discovered was changed into "perils of white fellow with long-hairism" upon watching also years ago (A woman almost fainted when he took off his hat & his hair spilled out LOL). I assume the director didn't have access to an African American actor, but not sure why he'd want to film it without. (If you're reading this by extreme happenstance my good dude the short was very well filmed & pretty well acted, a few things are just an Achilles heel.) Waited with bated breath for like 8 months (and undoubtedly annoyed him by asking for updates every few weeks which he was patient enough to indulge) then never showed anyone. haha Looked on YouTube again a while ago out of curiosity and couldn't find it again... actually it may have been a private link when he sent me the video come to think, it had like 28 views at that time.
Also in fairness this was in like 2013/2014(?) pre my Christian conversion. So there were some things I put in myself that I wouldn't want out there now, like ghosts and probably some language.
