Synopsis/Details
Dr. Michael Brewster is very close to making a breakthrough with the new skin grafts he's developed. The hybridisation with medical leeches is showing real promise for grafts that are more likely to be accepted by the host and heal them three times quicker. All is going well until an unscrupulous competitor, Cooper, has Michael killed so he can steal his secrets and exploit the discovery for himself. Katie Brewster grieves for her husband, coming slowly unraveled in the process. She doesn't think she'll ever find peace again until she discovers some unusual properties of her husband's new skin grafts and hatches a desperate plan. With the aid of the miraculous skin, she brings Michael back from the dead and starts to heal him using the grafts, ignoring the consequences of her act. Unfortunately, Cooper still wants the unique grafts and sets to stealing the grafts from Katie. Katie and her son Spencer have other ideas and protect themselves, and Michael, from outside intrusion. It all comes to a head in an explosive climax in the bowels of the hospital morgue; that pits the re-animated Michael and the grafts he controls against those who want him dead again.
