Synopsis/Details
GABRIEL and GEORGE are best friends that grew up together and have been working for the same criminal organization since the start of their adult life. Their boss is the notorious CHURCHILL, a Greek man in his sixties who’s an Anglophile and a big admirer of Winston Churchill. Gabriel and George are opposites: Gabriel's handsome, athletic, into fashion and cars, while George’s overweight, loves junk food and video games. Despite their differences, they’re more than friends, they’re brothers. George and Gabriel visit a bar they run protection to but find Russian gangsters there stepping on their toes. The Russians claim that Churchill initiated trouble by making a powerplay into the cocaine business, the area previously dominated by them, something that Gabriel and George were unaware of. A fistfight ensues, one which sees our heroes emerge victoriously. Gabriel and George attend a meeting with Churchill at the office above the nightclub and find out that the boss wants to start a war with the Russians and take over the cocaine business. During that same night Gabriel meets Jenny at the bar, he tries to flirt with her but weirdly for him, it doesn’t go well and they both part in anger. Jenny though turns out is there to meet Churchill and set up a job for him. The next morning Gabriel‘s ordered to go with Jenny to her contact, to see about acquiring German firearms. Uncomfortable silence soon gives way to playful bunter and after the successful completion of the job; Gabriel and Jenny decide to go for celebratory drinks. Gabriel and Jenny embark on a romantic and passionate relationship and fall hard for each other. Jenny though is keeping a secret from Gabriel, which becomes evident when she meets, in secret, with DETECTIVE SERGEANT TAYLOR. Jenny’s an undercover police officer. Detective Taylor though still has strong feelings for Jenny from when they dated and has strong reservations about her involvement with Gabriel. Meanwhile, the war with the Russians gets heated as both sides attack different establishments and as Gabriel spends more and more time with Jenny, his friendship with George starts to strain too. Detective Taylor starts spying on Jenny, allowing himself to get more and more jealous as he sees her become so enamored by Gabriel. He sets up another meeting with her, professing his love to her, grabbing her tight and kissing her. Jenny punches him, tells him he’s insane and will jeopardize the whole mission and to get his head back in the game but all Detective Taylor can focus on is the rejection. Detective Taylor betrays Jenny’s secret to Churchill who then orders Gabriel to kill her as an act of loyalty to him and the organization. Gabriel confronts Jenny and draws his gun on her. She admits to being a cop but swears she loves him and would have protected him and George. All she’s after is Churchill and his inner circle. Gabriel shoots her, but the bullet scrapes her arm. In the heat and craziness of the moment, passion overwhelms them and they make love on the spot. Gabriel pleads with Churchill to spare Jenny and the boss vows he will, but instead, he brings in the notorious psychopathic assassin known as The OTTOMAN, to kill Jenny. Jenny manages to survive The Ottoman’s attack and kills him instead. Gabriel takes Jenny to an off the grid, shady motel, then goes to his private storage to pick up weapons. Once there, he meets with George who tells him he hasn’t decided what to do yet and that he shouldn’t turn against the organization on account of a cop. Gabriel asks him to just keep away for a week until he handles things, for old time’s sake. Churchill’s gang set a trap for Jenny and Gabriel and hold them at gunpoint but George decides at the last moment to side with his friend. There is a massive shootout, Churchill’s gang end up dead, George gets hit in the shoulder but Jenny is shot dead. George and Gabriel set out a plan of revenge. They form an alliance with the Russians and with their assistance they manage to set up a coup and take Churchill down. George becomes the new boss of the organization but Gabriel wants no part of it. He goes after the detective instead and waits for him in his home at night. After a big fight, a beat-up, disheveled and hopeless Gabriel emerges the victor, avenging Jenny's death.
