Synopsis/Details
Think The Nice Guys meets Dogma ARCHON, the immortal Sword Hand of the Almighty, has spent eighty years in a heavenly prison for defending his best friend and fellow warrior, MIRABELLE, after she was exiled for loving a mortal. He is suddenly released with a single mission: find Heaven's missing Writer, ENGELBERT, who has vanished on Earth. Forced to navigate a bewildering modern world, Archon tracks down Mirabelle, who has built a cynical new life as a private investigator in Chicago. Reluctantly, she agrees to help, and their investigation uncovers a terrifying conspiracy. A disgruntled angel, TORAX, and a bitter demon, BRAKKEN—celestial bureaucrats tired of being overlooked—are planning to initiate "Lysis," a forbidden ritual that will reset all of creation. To do it, they need three components: a powerful holy relic, an innocent soul, and the long-lost Book of Torrenth, which they believe Engelbert can lead them to. As Archon and Mirabelle race against time, they battle demons, interrogate fallen angels, and even confront a slick, corporate LUCIFER, who claims to want no part in disrupting his profitable status quo. The villains kidnap Engelbert's mortal lover to force his cooperation, leading to a bloody, all-out climax at a rededicating church—the perfect conduit for their apocalyptic ritual. In a final, brutal showdown, Archon and Mirabelle must fight for a world they no longer feel a part of, forcing Archon to question his loyalty to Heaven and decide if saving existence is worth returning to a cage.

The Writer: Scott Sawitz

I like to write character studies of complex, flawed people within a genre framework. My scripts are like my comedy; dark and thrilling with a dash of pop culture references mixed in with a heaping helping of fun. My feature film "Save State" is currently available to watch on Tubi, Amazon, FuboTV, iTunes, Fawesome TV and wherever proper indie films stream. I'm a four-time optioned screenwriter (features), a former freelance sports writer and all around funny guy... and my dog is cuter than yours. Go to bio
