INFORMATION ‘Black Ice’ examines a complicated family history through different generations. Corrupted by time, the truth is distorted and abuse wreaks devastation. SYNOPSIS Teresa and her boyfriend welch on a drug deal. Alex, the violent dealer, comes looking for his money. After he beats up the boyfriend, Teresa OD’s and he tosses their apartment. Instead of cash, Alex finds an old photograph of his mother with a teenage girl and young baby. Alex reels in shock and returns to his family home. There, he discovers an identical picture and questions his mother Helen. Under pressure, Helen admits that Teresa is her daughter and Alex’s real mother. After he was born, Teresa disappeared and Helen and her husband raised Alex as their own. Teresa never told them who the father was, but Alex believes Helen’s late husband abused his own daughter. Helen refuses to accept the truth and Alex feels betrayed. In the aftermath, he faces his own demons and visits Teresa at the hospital. It’s a long road ahead, but now they have each other for support.
