Synopsis/Details
Blood Oath A feature screenplay synopsis by W.M.Simpson In a remote rural town in Australia, a fearless canine first responder's search for her sister leads her into the chilling depths of a century-old murder mystery. To survive an encounter with a savage beast trained to kill for revenge, she must believe in the Blood Oath. Synopsis When Grace Stone saves a blind philanthropist's life during a Canicross race in Los Angeles, she has no idea it will thrust her into a supernatural nightmare in her Australian hometown. After her dead sister's ghost appears with a warning, Grace learns of her disappearance from Black River, in Melbourne. Returning home, she discovers she's not dealing with an isolated incident—two other girls have vanished without a trace. The town's dark undercurrent becomes apparent as Grace faces threats from Kent McAllister, a violent local thug, and encounters resistance from law enforcement, including her ex-boyfriend Steve Cochran, now a senior policeman who is ordered to keep her in the dark. The mystery deepens when Grace meets Melanie Drake, an enigmatic cafe owner accompanied by Goliath, a massive South African Mastiff. When Sherlock, Grace's loyal Blue Heeler, tracks her sister's scent to Melanie's vehicle, the pieces begin falling into place—but not before Grace endures a brutal beating orchestrated by McAllister. Grace's investigation reveals her family's supernatural legacy—her mother was a spirit medium who predicted a beast would threaten her daughters' lives. As Grace delves deeper, aided by James Auburn's bodyguard Max Statzkowski, she uncovers horrifying truths: Melanie Drake is behind the disappearances, using her trained killer dog to murder innocent girls. In a heart-stopping climax, Grace finds herself fighting for survival against Goliath in the Australian wilderness. Her only hope lies in an ancient blood oath and her dead sister's spirit. Racing against time, Grace must embrace her inherited ability to communicate with the dead or become another victim. When her sister's ghost appears at the crucial moment, using Afrikaans commands to control the beast, Grace not only survives but inherits Goliath as her protector. The story culminates in Grace's acceptance of her supernatural gifts and a profound understanding of the blood oath that binds family together—in life and beyond death. Through tragedy, she discovers a power that transcends the boundary between the living and the dead, forever changing her perception of reality.
