Bridge is a sci-fi horror short which explores grief, the ethics of clairvoyance and a human need to believe in life after death.
Chris and Ellie are the best of mates who love to hustle at board games. But when Ellie dies in a car crash, Chris is plunged into a depression that not even their son Josh (12) can help him escape.
With his mind poisoned by alcohol and self-pity, cynical Chris drunkenly buys the latest gadget craze sweeping the world - a Bridge unit.
Created by AfterLife Technologies, the Bridge connects the land of the living, with the land of the dead. Chris doesn't believe in the technology, thinking it's an AI-driven imposter.
When Josh unwittingly plugs it in, starts talking to Ellie and she reveals impossible details of their life together - Chris becomes hooked.
But every technology can be hacked. And when the hacker is a malevolent force, there's not a firewall on Earth that can protect you.
