Synopsis/Details
Cristi and Mysti Larina are identical twins, but their lives are anything but mirror images. Cristi, the “good sister,” clings to order, tradition, and the belief that following the rules will bring her happiness. Mysti, the free spirit, embraces chaos, confidence, and a life lived on her own terms. Despite their differences, their bond is unbreakable—or so it seems.
Cristi’s world begins to unravel as her undiagnosed schizophrenia takes hold. Her grip on reality slips, and her love for Mysti curdles into something darker: a suffocating, possessive obsession. She believes Mysti is her only anchor in a world that doesn’t understand her, and she’ll do anything to keep her close—even if it means destroying everything else.
As Cristi’s mental state deteriorates, Mysti becomes her caregiver, sacrificing her own dreams and relationships to support her sister. But Cristi’s delusions twist Mysti’s kindness into betrayal. When Mysti finds love with David, a social worker who offers her a glimpse of a future beyond her sister’s illness, Cristi’s mind shatters.
In Cristi’s warped reality, David isn’t a kindred soul—he’s a demon, a threat to the sacred bond she shares with Mysti. She convinces herself that Mysti is being manipulated, possessed, and that only she can save her. The line between protection and destruction blurs, and Cristi’s love becomes a weapon.
