Synopsis/Details
For nearly four centuries, the spectral form of Kelvin Mark has drifted through the shadowy halls of Grand Manor, an once-opulent estate now crumbling under the weight of decades of neglect. Trapped in a liminal space between worlds, invisible to the living, his ghostly existence is mired in despair and confusion. Haunted by the questions that tether his restless soul to this decaying realm - why can no one see or hear him? What force binds him here? - he has been a solitary witness to the slow decay of the manor's faded grandeur. That all changes when a new family arrives at Grand Manor, seeking refuge from their tumultuous lives in the outside world. At first, the Wilsons seem to bring a rejuvenating energy to the ancient dwelling, their laughter and chatter briefly lifting the pall of silence. But when night falls, strange occurrences begin to plague them - objects inexplicably misplaced, eerie chills rippling through rooms, the unmistakable sense of some unseen presence. It is not until the youngest child, precocious 8-year-old Lily, begins conversing with an imaginary friend that Kelvin realizes his ability to influence the physical world may be greater than he ever suspected. Through cryptic whispers that only Lily can perceive and fleeting visions manifesting in dusty mirrors, Kelvin attempts to communicate, hoping the young girl can be the key to unlocking the secrets of his tragic past. As the family delves deeper into the manor's dark history, reawakening it from its slumber, the veil between realms grows perilously thin. Long-buried truths about betrayal, madness, and murder that led to Kelvin's eternal unrest begin to bleed into the present. With each shocking revelation, terrifying supernatural forces linked to both Kelvin's history and the new inhabitants' unfolding tragedy are given form, manifesting as poltergeist activity, menacing apparitions, and other horrific phenomena. As a storm rages outside, trapping them all within the manor's accursed walls, the Wilsons find themselves ensnared in a nightmarish cycle of violence and retribution spanning centuries. In a desperate race against time before dawn breaks, Kelvin must not only confront the awful truths about what keeps his soul shackled to Grand Manor, but also decide whether he truly desires release from this ghostly prison. For the family's fate has become inextricably intertwined with his own. As the night grows darker and the malevolent forces converge, will Kelvin finally understand his role and uncover what tethers him to the estate? Or will he and the Wilsons be consumed by the shadows, doomed to re-enact the tragic events that transformed the once-proud manor into a vessel of evil forevermore? An atmospheric exploration of longing, connection, and the terrifying depths of the supernatural awaits as the veil separating the living and the restless dead grows gossamer thin. When the final light of dusk fades over Grand Manor on that fateful night, which souls will still linger - and at what cost?
