Synopsis/Details
In the heart of Babbitt County, Ohio, an eerie silence hangs over the abandoned halls of Westbrook High School. Once a vibrant hub bustling with students, the dilapidated building now stands as a grim reminder of its tragic past—whispers of bullying incidents that spiraled into unthinkable horrors. When a group of daring teenagers—Jeff Peters, Corey Janke, Domiciano Olvera, and Claire Brisay—decide to investigate the notorious haunted school for their documentary project, they have no idea what unspeakable forces they are about to unleash. Determined to uncover the forgotten stories trapped within Westbrook's crumbling walls, the friends set up their cameras in the decrepit gymnasium. But as the sun slips below the horizon, strange occurrences begin to manifest. Flickering lights cast ominous shadows that seem to dart just out of view. Disembodied whispers, laced with anguish, echo through the cavernous space. An unseen entity even knocks over their equipment, as if issuing a warning. Undeterred, the teens press on, scouring the building for clues. That's when Domiciano stumbles upon an old yearbook buried beneath the floorboards of what was once the cafeteria. As he flips through its tattered pages, revealing the faces of students from decades past, an eerie chill runs down his spine—for among the haunting black-and-white photos, he notices several ghostly figures mirroring those very students. The realization hits them like a ton of bricks: these restless spirits are not mere urban legends but something far more sinister, seeking justice for their untold suffering. As night blankets the desolate school, the paranormal phenomena escalate into a terrifying onslaught. Objects fly across rooms, propelled by unseen forces. Ominous laughter reverberates through the halls, taunting them. And at every turn, malevolent apparitions bar their escape, trapping the friends in a waking nightmare. Desperate to break the curse, the teens pore over the yearbook obsessively, determined to uncover the truth behind each ghostly face. Their investigation leads them down a dark path of rituals and occult practices, some meant to honor the dead, others to condemn the damned. But with each shocking revelation, a more horrifying truth emerges: these ghosts cry foul not merely for revenge, but because they are desperate for someone brave enough to finally give voice to their tragic stories before they are forever silenced. As paranormal forces close in, manifesting as grotesque abominations fueled by decades of grief and rage, the friends realize their only hope of survival is to confront the most twisted secrets of Westbrook's past head-on. In a harrowing climax, they come face-to-face with the horrific fates of the tormented souls whose yearbook photos unleashed this unholy curse upon them. Only by finally exposing the ugly truths that led to such unimaginable anguish can the teens break the vicious cycle of violence—and perhaps offer the restless spirits the long-denied solace they have sought for so many wretched years. Those who make it out alive are forever changed, haunted by the realizations that some vendettas transcend the grave...and some cries for justice can never be silenced.
