Synopsis/Details
Isobel (23) is a rising star in the online fitness community. She runs a live simulcast out of her studio on her third floor studio overlooking a crowded city below. Everyone in the neighborhood knows her. She is a fixture in different businesses in her community. Every day she visits another sketchy urban shop, run by colorful locals. They all seem to love her. What she doesn’t know, is that she is being watched. There are three men who are very interested in her every move. They chart her routines. They find the perfect moment, after class one night, and they make their move. Isobel hears someone knocking on her door from the studio. She is about to climb the stairs and answer it when Paul appears at the studio door. He tells her that she is about to be abducted. She isn’t sure what to think, but hearing the door to her apartment crashing in above her, she follows Paul. They have to steal a car. The back window gets shot out as they drive away. The abduction team obviously doesn’t need Isobel alive. She realizes this with a chill. Isobel starts to thank Paul, but he insists that he doesn’t deserve it. She gets suspicious and starts interrogating him. He cracks. He admits that he has been stalking her. He noticed the people watching her because they were amateurs compared to him. He really is good at working from the shadows. Isobel can’t believe her luck. Saved from a kidnapper by a stalker. Now they are on the run together. Her first instinct is to get away. They get adjoining hotel rooms and she sneaks out. Rather than run away immediately, she decides to watch him from the all night diner across the street. He goes through a pretty embarrassing nightly routine and then lights out. Seconds later, he is beside her at the table. He set her up. She admits that he is pretty sneaky, and right now she needs sneaky. There is something in her apartment that she needs to get back to, or the rest of this drama won’t matter at all. If she doesn’t make her weekly rounds, she will be dead. Paul learns that everyone has their secrets, and following Isobel is the equivalent of a rambling confession of unending sins. Strangely, he might have found some place in the world where he fits.
