Synopsis/Details
In the American Northwest, EVE, a young mute girl, camps with her parents. However, the wilderness adventure soon turns sour with the arrival of WAYLAND, a ruthless industrialist who sends an army of TROOPERS to find her. They dispatch her parents, but the girl eludes them, wandering the woods until she is found by a kindly OLD MAN and his dog. Though he is a hermit, he won’t turn away someone in need, and resolves to bring Eve to safety while working with her to uncover why the troopers are after her.
Meanwhile, BETH, an investigative reporter, receives a mysterious letter and smells a story. After looking into Wayland and his company for years, she’s finally got the go ahead to follow the trial - and the rabbit’s hole leads her everywhere from Wayland’s office to a strange town in Montana. As both teams investigate and come together, they’ll uncover a hidden truth that challenges the very idea of what it means to be human.
