Synopsis/Details
Forgotten Heroes focuses on three earnest veterans who suffer from varying levels of PTSD from their time overseas. Elyse, the stoic leader with a sleeping pill addiction, Devin, the wildcard hooked on Oxycodone and Tommy, the most stable of the three who copes with meditation instead of pills. Frustrated by the amount of homeless and mistreated veterans they see, they decide something has to be done. They ban together with two friends and plan a heist on a casino that exploits people with gambling issues. What was once a good plan spirals into a nightmare when not all members of the team are working toward the same goal. This is a story that deals with relevant issues like proper treatment of veterans, PTSD, and mental health, all while telling an exciting action/thriller story. Tonally a cross between American Sniper and The Town that will keep audiences on the edge of their seat.

The Writer: Ariel Mayer

I am a self-taught writer and have been writing for almost 10 years. I have written 15 scripts across a multitude of genres and I enjoy exploring different genres as each genre has something unique to offer. I worked as a creative consultant at Intrinsic Value Films from October 2019 to October of 2020 where I would read and analyze scripts that were in consideration for development. As of today, I am always working on a new script while also fine-tuning my older scripts. My scripts keep audiences on the edge of their seat with a thrill a minute and themes that will have them thinking for days. Go to bio
