Synopsis/Details
"Full Circle" focuses on ex-European based pop star Ray Moretti, as he heads back to the United States for a fresh start. After years of feeling like a pawn in someone else's game, Ray decides it's finally time to answer only to himself. Unfortunately, landing a serving job at a Hollywood restaurant that is also home to a semi-scripted reality television show lands Ray back in the spotlight he was so desperate to escape from. Everyone wants a piece of Ray when his extraordinary talent is brought to the forefront; the restaurant needs him to bring in patrons, while the TV show requires him to help attract new viewers. When we first meet Ray, he seems to have it all; superstar appeal, a beautiful girlfriend, money in the bank, and a booming music career. However, that is until the day he and the other three members of the pop group ‘Serenade’ are informed that their German-owned record label will be shutting down due to a scandalous romance between the company CEO and the youngest member of the group. With the boy band scattering into the wind, Ray winds up back in LA, looking for a regular job. While he does wish, one day, to return to the music industry, for the time being, he needs to clear away all the rubbish that has bogged him down creatively. Tristan, a go-getter of a restaurant shift manager, is looking to make a name for himself, and after hearing of Ray's past, hires him on the spot. While learning the ropes of the restaurant, Ray comes across a cast of characters, ranging from an effeminate host named Teddy Ruxbin, that just so happens to be Serenade's biggest fan; Brett, a 30-something depressed actor that hates life; Emily, a beautiful yet unassuming waitress who yearns for her big break; Lance, a Hollywood D-bag that thinks reality TV will make him famous; Stanley, an eccentric British director who wishes Ray to be bigger than Timberlake, and Debbie, the crass and wildly attractive restaurant assistant manager that plays by her own rules. These characters and others play an enormous role of pushing Ray into wanting more out of life sooner rather than later. Did someone say the band is getting back together?!

The Writer: Mike Calendrillo

At the age of three, Mike Calendrillo first appeared on stage during his mother's (Jean Marie) one-woman show. This is where Mike first discovered his love for performing. As a teenager, Mike continued to hone his craft when he had the privilege to learn the fundamentals of acting and screenwriting from Michael Coppola, nephew of Francis Ford Coppola. Here, Mike picked up the nuances and subtleties that go into creating memorable pieces of art. After high school, as part of the music group J2, Mike and his sister L'ren, signed a record deal and toured the country, singing their very own brand of pop/r&b music — opening for the likes of Lenny Kravitz, JC Chasez, and Nick Cannon.
