Synopsis/Details
GYPSY is the personal story of a Latino woman trapped in a manipulative and abusive relationship who would prefer to live on the streets than die under abuse. Gypsy works hard and travels alone at night only to have every penny taken from her abusive partner who sees her as nothing more than a possession to satisfy his needs. When Gypsy loses her job, the fear of returning home to her abusive partner pushes her to make the brave choice to choose homelessness instead. Facing the distressing challenges of callous street life, Gypsy survives her journey and finds herself at the mercy of Ben, a hardened homeless man with a soft heart. Facing homeless life at Ben’s side soon becomes Gypsy’s new norm but her new found security is threatened when Ben is involved in a tragic accident and Gypsy once again faces the possibility of life alone on the city streets. Gypsy’s journey will tug at the heartstrings of the audience as she faces tragedy and love in this search of a freedom she has never known.
