Synopsis/Details
Special note...this thriller screenplay is fully-contained. It takes place in and around a gas station mini-mart. There are less than 10 total characters. It could be made for less than $1 million. Imagine being Hannah Huntsford. You just got engaged to your detective boyfriend and then stopped into a gas station to buy a lottery ticket on the way home. It's shortly before Halloween, during the height of election season. A gunman wearing a Halloween mask comes in and robs the place as you're near the register. Your detective fiance witnesses the robbery in progress and tries to stop the gunman. The gunman takes you and two other women hostage inside the gas station and hunkers down as the police detective calls for back up. As you are being held at gunpoint, you overhear the gunman making some frantic phone calls. That is when you discover that this is more than just a simple robbery gone wrong. Apparently, the gunman is a college student, and this robbery was a secret society initiation ritual. In addition, the gunman's mother happens to be a local mayoral candidate running on a law and order platform. As the minutes tick by, the stakes keep rising, and you feel the tension continue to build. You just want to make it out of there alive. Will your detective fiance find a way to save you? Or are you doomed?
