The entire script takes places at a bed and breakfast.
There are 4 primary characters with 2 side characters.
A career-driven woman traveling home for Christmas gets stranded at a cozy bed and breakfast during a blizzard where the only other guest is her high school sweetheart who never stopped loving her.
At first, Bella Landry and Scott Sutherland feel awkward around each other as they run into one another in the lobby of the B&B.
But when they run into each other again in the dining room of the inn later, they get to talking like it's old times again.
The more they catch up with each other, the more it becomes clear that they still have great chemistry together...as well as deep feelings for one another.
Then Bella worries what will happen when the storm blows over.
In her mind, what's the point of opening her heart up again if when the roads are clear, Scott will just return to Chicago while she returns to her small hometown of Copper Gulch?
While Bella is focused on the future, Scott only cares about the present.Scott urges Bella to go with her feelings and live in the moment, but she becomes too worried about getting hurt again and pulls back from him.
The following day, when the storm passes, Bella is eager to head home and put her stay at the B&B behind her.
But just as Bella is about to leave, Scott pours his heart out to her and tells her that it doesn't matter where he lives, or what he does for a living. The only thing he cares about is being with Bella.
Bella and Scott then give each other a deep kiss.
