Synopsis/Details:

Banished from Dublin to a rural town struggling DI Ronan Kelly and his new local understudy DS Alec Murphy are called to the scene of the towns first murder in a lifetime.

Maeve Brennan a 14 year old local girl lies dead in a dumpsite, dressed for a night on the town, with a nasty wound to the back of her head and a suspected broken neck.

Maeve’s family maintain that she was a normal happy school girl. Her father is of course desperate for answers. Her stepmother and her haven’t ever quite clicked and her older brother is definitely hiding something.

The last time any of them claim to have seen her was late in the evening when she was in her room ready for bed.

Maeve’s best friend says they sneaked out and went underage drinking in the park but swears Maeve was alive when she left her... but her ex boyfriend Kevin has a different story to tell.

An ambitious local journalist sees this tragedy as his route to make national news and is willing to cross any line to secure an exclusive.

Kelly must find out who the killer is and how it ties in to a local gangster and his bumbling cousin.

Whispers start and secrets are spilled but how can Kelly ever expect to get the truth from a suspect....... if he can’t get it from his own colleagues.
