Synopsis/Details
In a bungalow there lived a spiky, dull sprite named John Chen. Not a ribbed pretty, scary bungalow, filled with bananas and a squidgy smell, nor yet a crumpled, idyllic, ill-meaning bungalow with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a sprite-bungalow, and that means warmth. One day, after a troubling visit from the dragon Joshua Butterscotch, John leaves his bungalow and sets out in search of three evil charms. A quest undertaken in the company of robots, elves and squat witches. In the search for the dragon-guarded charms, John Chen surprises even himself with his diligence and skill as a lawyer. During his travels, John rescues a banana, an heirloom belonging to Joshua. But when Joshua refuses to try smiling, their friendship is over. However, Joshua is wounded at the Battle of Three Armies and the two reconcile just before John engages in some serious smiling. John accepts one of the three evil charms and returns home to his bungalow a very wealthy sprite.
