Jury Beauty by Cannon Rosenau | Script Revolution

Jury Beauty

Age Rating:

Elle has tried (and failed) all of the dating schemes, everything except for a little magic and jury duty.

BEA taps some magic onto the outgoing summons for jury duty. Elle is quite excited to receive her summons, it's her civic duty after all. Her friends think she's grasping at straws after all her failed attempts at dating apps, speed dating, you name it. She buries herself in scrapbooking projects.

Guy is the envy of all his friends - he can stay out as late as he wants with no wife to answer to. He'd rather have a wife to answer to. He goes out with freaks from the dating app including Hortense the biker babe with a meth face. He even considers moving to Miami with his elderly neighbor lady, especially if it means he can get out of jury duty.

Elle and Guy keep missing their chance meeting by mere seconds...until the first few seconds of jury selection. That Bea!

The Writer: Cannon Rosenau

I am an optioned screenwriter, published playwright and have an MFA in Scriptwriting. I have 4 kids, 3 dogs, 2 pointless cats and 1 wonderful husband. We live in beautiful North Idaho where we've had to learn to speak Canadian. Just a small effort in order to live at the base of a ski resort and a mile from a beach on the fifth deepest lake in the country. I've always been a hobby writer. But really it's free therapy - writing keeps the voices from taking over my head. I tend to write feature length scripts that always have a happy ending. I also venture out to sitcoms, goofball feature scripts, shorts and novels. Go to bio
