Synopsis/Details
Harold, a movie buff since diapers, grows up in front of the TV watching movies. Movies are his escape from a mundane childhood. His dad's face may break if he attempted a smile while his mom attempts to keep everyone placid. When Harold discovers that the source of all the household unhappiness is directly related to his dad's hatred of his job, Harold makes a promise to his mom that he'll find a career that makes him happy. A few years later, Harold is offered a lucrative scientific research job at the University he's about to graduate from. When he remembers his promise to his mom, he declines and drops out to go back to work part time at the local video store. His father immediately disowns him. Until one day, his dad wanders into the video store and he and Harold bond over a classic comedy. Movies truly do bring people together.
