Synopsis/Details
Newspaperman Glen McFarland is bored with a life of reporting Little League games, gardening club events and City Council meetings in a small town in 1960's Indiana. But things change when Santa Claus literally falls from the sky and fatally crashes into the town Christmas tree during a holiday kickoff celebration. Sensing a chance to write the big story he has always longed for, Glen follows an anonymous tip that suggests there may be more to the "accident" than anyone wants to admit. As he probes deeper into the mysterious death, Glen's lifelong friendships among the quirky citizens of Creston, Indiana are put to the test. Glen keeps peeling back the onion on Creston, Indiana, finding that there is much beneath the surface of this Mayberry-like town that is not so idyllic. In the end, Glen must make a choice: be a real reporter or be part of the illusion of what his hometown is.
