Synopsis/Details
Poetry teacher Molly Lopez and her hard-drinking sister Eden team up to offer a drama program at the Lonestar Women's Correctional facility, but an assistant warden and a state senator undermine the program in an effort to make the warden look bad and privatize the prison. When the drama program participants realize what is happening, they foil the assistant warden's efforts by saving the life on one of their peers and putting on a kick ass production. Unfortunately, all their love and effort can't save their beloved teacher Molly from breast cancer. Eden is transformed by her work with the women and discovers that her true calling in life is to carry on Molly's mission.
