When the proprietor of the Lullaby Motel leaves Cara in charge, Cara decides to violate the "do not interfere" policy and get to know one of the clients who is considering suicide. They get into a discussion of the philosophy of Albert Camus. When she returns to work the next day, she discovers that the client has changed his mind about killing himself.
