Synopsis/Details
Brainy and striking Elpida plans an audacious heist to rob Vangelis, a government minister who sexually assaulted her, of his bribe money. Nikos, her lover, carries out the crime with a gang of friends and old terrorists from the defunct terror group M21, issuing a declaration in the style of M21 to publicly expose Vangelis as corrupt. The heist sparks fights between the corrupt politicians. Philip, an old-school political operative and the kingpin of the corruption, takes increasingly desperate steps, using Russian mobsters, to contain the fallout. Panos is assigned to investigate the heist. But before he can get very far, the case is shut down by Philip, working behind the scenes. A few days later, Vangelis is assassinated in classic M21 style. Panos is officially back on the case and must untangle how the heist, the assassination, and the seeming resurgence of M21 fit together. His orders are to keep the robbery quiet and nail M21 for the assassination, but he has doubts … When Panos realizes that Nikos may be involved in the heist and that M21 is not responsible for the assassination, things heat up. Already disillusioned, Panos throws caution to the wind and pursues the matter quietly. In the process he falls head over heels for Zoe, a journalist, who is the only witness. Hiding his suspicions from his partner, he instead enlists Zoe’s help with the investigation. Nikos’ godfather, Laertes, is also convinced that Nikos is involved in the robbery, and reconnects with his old love, Smaragda, to protect Nikos. Laertes comes clean to Nikos about being his bio-dad, and Smaragda being his bio-mom. Laertes also reveals that he and Smaragda were the original leaders of M21. A misstep by Zoe tips off Philip that Panos is pursuing the truth with Zoe’s help, instead of following orders. Realizing the danger, Panos appeals to Laertes for help. The cop and the old terrorist team up to protect Zoe and put Philip out of the game, since prosecuting him is impossible for political reasons. When Philip kidnaps Zoe to squeeze her for information, Laertes and two of his old terrorist buddies save Zoe, killing Philip in the process. Laertes blackmails the prime minister to pass Philip’s death off as a heart attack. The Russian mobsters take the fall for the assassination. Panos and Zoe quit their jobs, and the three couples: Laertes and Smaragda, Nikos and Elpida, Panos and Zoe toast love at a picnic with a view of the Acropolis.

Since childhood I have been fascinated by other people, other cultures, and the stories they have to tell. This motivated me to learn foreign languages, travel, and to relocate first to the US and then to Greece. A colorful life has given me contact with people and situations that beg to be put in stories of their own. Go to bio
