Synopsis/Details
Cory was raised by the Brazilian streets with nothing more than his infant sister, Allie. While looking for food, he finds Padre Desmond Flores’ jungle compound, and their old life closes and another begins.
Cory grows to run Padre’s other business, vice at its best. But, Cory makes a desperate choice when he finds Padre has secret plans for Allie in that business. As Cory and Allie flee to New York City, they’re bitten by something in the jungle. And, it changes their lives forever.
Ten years later in the States, Cory and Allie fight a losing battle against the gifts and burdens that come with being bitten. Allie has lost control of her feeding and because of that Cory loses control of his job with the local Russian vice broker he works for. Once collided, they can’t go backwards or forwards.
After Allie gets mortally wounded, Cory makes a desperate plan: Build a “tough love” army of bitten human trash to return to Brazil and find a cure… after they destroy Padre’s army.
Back in Brazil, Cory’s posse is victorious in their last stand, with victory leaving only Cory and Billie standing. It’s here, Cory faces a hard truth that he and Allie are children of Padre and an ex-hooker of his that he cast to the jungle.
With Allie’s life fading, he and Billie scour the jungle until the thing that bit he and Allie find them first. Too bad it’s his mother. To protect them from Padre, she bit them and waited by a “Fountain of Youth” for them to return.
It’s here that we learn a long forgotten shipment of research Vampire Spiders has made their way to this spring and that the spring is the cure. But, we learn another harsh lesson: the spring is unique again when Billie can’t be cured and remains the last of his kind.
The cured Cory, Allie, and their Mom, now aged to their true ages, remain loyal to Billie and vow to find a cure. But, can superhuman trash remain strong long enough to remain human?
