Hayden is an MMA fighter who uses his suppressed anger from an abusive childhood to win fights in the octagon. His coach Ariel takes care of him when he is abandoned by his foster family and they win the regional tryouts together.
He signs a contract with the Zenith FC, the biggest MMA promoter in the U.S, but his hopes of a better life are dwindled when he breaks a fight between a couple of girls outside his gym, and loses his endorsements because of it.
Aware of his damaging rage, he goes to his birth mother in search for answers. There he finds out that she did not give him away as he thought, but was blackmailed by his foster family into breaking all ties and disappear. Her poor living conditions make him grateful she did so.
He returns to his hometown and back to the gym, where he is visited by the girl he protected the days before, and they instantly fall in love with each other. The effects of his constant struggles are damaging Hayden’s life. His nights are filled with night terrors and jump scares like a soldier with PTSD, while his days are clouded by violent outbursts and fear of abandonment. Emotionally he is a broken man.
But Maeyah understands and helps him cope with his issues. She also tells him that he needs to stop fighting if he wants a quiet life. Hayden agrees and quits before the championship bout, ignoring Ariel’s protests.
His happiness is cut short however, when Maeyah is kidnapped and Hayden blackmailed into taking the last fight and lose in the second round. His boiling rage causes him to kill the raining champion in less than a second, but also his loved one by breaking the arrangement
With nothing to lose, Hayden unleashes himself on the kidnappers like a beast, then lets himself taken into custody.
Prison suits him. It gives him closure. But even there he won’t have much peace as he discovers that Ariel was behind the kidnapping that got Maeyah killed.
Now being the raining champion, Hayden must defend his belt, and takes one last fight against the number one contender.
The final battle is between two forces. Hayden fighting for his freedom while the contender, Dustin Thompson, fights to become champion and to save his own foster family.
In a dramatic twist however, Hayden kills himself in the octagon in a suicidal move against Dustin, then reveals that he took vengeance on Ariel and his foster parents before the fight, and gave his mother and her kids a new home.
Now, Hayden is finally at peace. His rage is gone, and his and Maeyah’s souls are finally together, this time, forever.
