Synopsis/Details
Lynne Manne is an aspiring screenwriter from Scotland, who recently moved to Los Angeles. Inspired by the sage words of her new favorite Youtuber, Ava Abrams, Lynne decides to pursue her filmmaking dreams and takes an entry level job as a Production Assistant at a small independent film. She quickly learns that the life of a PA/Runner is not as glamorous as it seems and is inundated with tedious tasks such as going on coffee runs and making copies. Once filming starts, Lynne is mesmerized by the hyper-realistic world of working on film sets, with over the top crew members that use eccentric film lingo. At first it seems as though the only connection that Lynne has with her co-workers is their terrible attempt at mimicking her Scottish accent, but things change for the better once she meets networking master Nolan Ramsey and cinephile Erin Anderson. The two veteran runners take Lynne under their wing and share what they’ve learned. Their fun times are short-lived however once they run into sadistic Production Coordinator Mac Wilson who only seems to take pleasure in making the runners’ lives miserable. Lynne takes the lessons she learned and combines them with her quick wit and keen ability to read others to blaze a path for herself through the quirky Hollywood landscape.

Back then I had to lean sideways and sit on mom’s purse to be able to see past the unbelievably tall person sitting in front of me. My passion was evident, and this led me to pursue filmmaking. I made my directorial debut with “Escape Party”, (2021, USA) a short film about the worst team of players you could put together to play in an escape room. “Escape Party” was the winner for "Best Short Short Film" in the Paris Independent Film Festival, winner of "Best Cinematography" in the Feedback Under 5 Minute Festival winner of "Best Ensemble Cast in Austin Micro Film Festival, and placed as a… Go to bio
