Synopsis/Details
In this author-requested screenplay adaptation, Jack Weaver, a charismatic and skilled CIA operative, is deeply embedded within Colombia's largest drug cartel, where he lives a perilous double life of deception, violence, and allure. His world is shattered when he discovers a chilling plan to assassinate the incoming President on Inauguration Day. Matters worsen when Jack is compelled to eliminate his former SEAL commander, now a Deputy Director at the CIA, plunging him into a desperate flight for survival. Haunted by haunting visions from his past involving his old SEAL team, Jack seeks answers that lead him to break into the home of Vice-President-elect Warren Walters, another former SEAL teammate. There, he encounters Caroline, Warren's mistreated wife, whom he reluctantly takes hostage to gain leverage in his pursuit of truth. As they navigate their uneasy alliance, Caroline finds herself drawn to Jack despite his dangerous facade, questioning whether a night in his arms could offer freedom from her own torment. Their partnership intensifies as they unravel the conspiracy, navigating a volatile mix of passion and peril. Together, Jack and Caroline must confront their deepest secrets and confrontations from the past to thwart the assassination plot and secure their futures. Yet, lurking in the shadows is a formidable figure known only as the Emperor, pulling strings that threaten to undo everything they've fought for. Will they unearth the truth in time to save the President-Elect and themselves, or will their entangled pasts consume them in a storm of betrayal and destruction?
