Synopsis/Details
Detective Ronnie Lockhart is called to a remote farmhouse where an entire family—and two visiting children—have been brutally murdered. The crime scene is unlike anything he's ever seen: bodies posed around a dinner table, severed heads placed in the corners of the attic, and no sign of forced entry or escape. As he interviews the traumatized neighbor who discovered the scene, Ronnie begins to suspect something far more sinister than a human killer. The deeper Ronnie digs, the more he is haunted—literally—by visions and whispers that blur the line between reality and nightmare. A mysterious figure known only as the Axe Man, wearing a burlap sack and levitating eerily, begins to stalk him. As Ronnie’s grip on reality slips, he finds himself trapped in the same horrific ritual he was investigating, surrounded by the ghosts of his own past and the victims of the Axe Man. In a chilling climax, Ronnie becomes the latest victim in a cycle of supernatural terror, leaving behind only questions and a new detective staring into the same abyss.
