Synopsis/Details
It’s DELMAS JENKINS’S first day working as a meat salesman for a packaging plant. He’s partnered with star salesmen DWIGHT GRIFFIN, aka Griff, who’s known for being a bit of a hot head. After receiving their day’s load, Griff drives them to a methadone clinic, where he trades meat for cocaine. Afterwards, the duo make a pit stop at Griff’s house; Griff snorts several lies of cocaine with his girlfriend, BECCA, and physically coerces Delmas into partaking. Next, Griff and Delmas drive to their first client of the day, a mechanic named RAY, where they are greeted by two naked women - Ray’s wife, TIFFANY, and her friend, AMBER. While Griff and Tiffany have sex in the bedroom of the trailer, Delmas decides to leave when Ray suddenly comes home. Griff manages to sneak out of the bedroom and casually sell Ray a bundle of meat. As the salesmen prepare to leave, Ray finds a used condom in the bathroom and robs them of their entire stock. Griff reassures Delmas they can purchase meat from their competitor, ROSS BEAFORE, in order to reimburse their manager, TED BOWMAN, for the lost load.
Griff meets with Ross and offers to work with him once he pays back Ted; Ross begrudgingly agrees. Meanwhile, as Delmas chats on the phone with his mother, two gunshots go off inside Ross’s home. Delmas grabs a gun, rushes inside, and finds a hooded man holding Griff at gunpoint. Delmas's gun accidentally discharges, severing the chain suspending a chandelier above the assailant and killing him. Griff and Delmas wander upstairs and find Ross dead. Griff and Delmas use Ross’s butchery equipment to cut up the two bodies, carving pieces to resemble slices of steak, ribs, and hamburger. Griff and Delmas steal meat from Ross’s freezer and manage to sell it, along with severed remains, to various customers around town. That evening, they return to the meat packing plant and collect the sales bonus for selling their entire load.
The next morning, Delmas decides not to return to the meat plan and takes another job at an accounting firm. The following weeks transpire in montage, with the corpse meat being consumed by various customers and the local Sheriff’s Department investigating Ross’s disappearance. One day, the Sheriff deputies come to Delmas’s house and bring him to the station for questioning. Delmas participates in a lineup along with Griff, where one of Ross’s gardeners identifies Delmas as the last man to see Ross alive. Delmas is then placed in prison to await trial. Griff visits Delmas in prison and promises to get him a good lawyer. But after a few days pass, Griff winds up in prison on a narcotics charge. Luckily for him, Griff is released soon after his arrival due having a talent lawyer, ALEX. Griff hires Alex as Delmas’s lawyer and agrees to confess to Ross’s murder if Delmas’s trial does not end with a dismissal. Luckily, the judge dismisses Delmas’s case for lack of evidence and he is released. The experience forges a friendship between Delmas and Griff and the two end up purchasing a taco truck together.
