After the loss of a daughter and a drought in work, David attempts to decipher the Devil's diary as it slowly takes over and is tearing what's left of his family apart.

Synopsis/Details
A couple in search of an ancient book full of power searches a legendary battle ground of angels and demons. They find the Devil’s diary and ultimately meet their demise at the hands of a secret society. A few weeks later the book is now in the hands of anthropologist, David Oxley. David struggles with his sobriety as he and his family cope with the loss of his eldest daughter. The devil’s diary starts to take over David’s home life. First with the mysterious death of the family dog, Roxy, and second when David blacks out and fails to pick up his daughter from soccer practice. David’s wife leaves with his daughter to stay with family for the weekend. David reaches out to the secret society that gave him the Devil’s Diary in hopes to learn more of its origins. David then drinks to the point of passing out. David’s wife receives a late night phone call from who she believes to be David. She agrees to allow their daughter to stay the weekend with him. The next morning, David’s wife watches from the car and waves as little Anna is greeted by her father at the door. Once inside, Anna can’t seem to catch up with David who keeps turning the corner at every hall she follows him. Anna finds her father passed out at his bar down stairs, he wakes up shocked that she is there. David tries his best to make Anna’s weekend with him a bonding moment. Strange happenings continue to occur with in the house. The ghost of Anna’s sister appears on a few occasions as well as Anna looks out her window and see’s her father hanging from the tree in the yard, he places his finger to his lips in a shhhing motion. David again reaches out to the secret society that gave him the book. This time the conversation is different, David demands that they come and take back the Devil’s Diary. They agree to send out their collector, however the leader of the organization informs the collector to kill David and any witnesses. The collector is en route to David when something appears in front of him in the road causing him to crash. David is nearly completely consumed by the book, he over pours his coffee onto the counter as a news lady on the television talks about a mysterious accident resulting in death. A family counselor that David has been ignoring messages from and mail, makes a home visit to check on the situation. David welcomes Dr. Ulrich into his home and misleads him into believing the bathroom is down stairs. When Dr. Ulrich turns on the light in the room he arrives in, it is revealed to be a storage room with a hot water tank. Dr. Ulrich turns around to face David who then bludgeons him to death with a hammer as he begs for his life. Anna makes a frantic call to her mother, but has to leave a voice mail. A storm has set in and the power goes off in the house, Anna wanders out of her bed room in the dark, the only light coming from the lightening from outside the windows. David appears behind Anna wearing only his underwear covered in blood. He chases her through the home in a terrifying game of hide and seek. Anna uses a cell phone to see inside the kitchen cupboards, she climbs inside to hide from her father. Her mother calls the cellphone and gives away her location. Anna runs to the basement and hides inside the utility room, Dr. Ulrich falls out and lands on top of Anna. David regains control of himself long enough to roll Dr. Ulrich off of Anna. Anna runs for her life as instructed by the ghost of her sister. Anna’s mother receives her voice mail and races to the house after notifying the police. The police arrive first to the home and make there way inside. Inside they find David hanging dead from a rope by his neck, the officers remove him and lay him down on the floor while they search the rest of the house. The officers find Dr. Ulrich’s body in the basement and return back up stairs, David’s body and the book are gone. The officers search around the home in the dark with their flashlights and weapons drawn. David can be seen in the shadows before he takes a step back and disappears into the darkness. Twenty years later Anna with her husband and daughter have moved back into her child hood home. Her aunt comes to visit for her birthday, as Anna’s daughter plays in the yard. Her Aunt reveals that she has continued to research about the Devils diary and it’s true purpose. Through her research she discovered that the books true purpose was to give lucifer himself a vessel to return in. There is an unexpected knock at the front door, Anna’s husband leaves the conversation and returns with a birthday present addressed to Anna. Anna opens the present to reveal The Devil’s Diary inside. Anna is frozen in terror as her Aunt experiences a strange headache as her nose starts to bleed. Suddenly Anna’s aunt’s head explodes sending blood and brain matter flying onto her birthday cake and The Devils Diary.
