A former astral spy and aikido expert, betrayed by a former comrade, must regain his lost abilities in order to avenge his wife's death and save his daughter from her prison in the ether.
Synopsis/Details:

Adam Brooke is an aikido expert and retired astral spy whose ability in the field of astral projection was second to none. Now a university lecturer he still goes into the ether but only to investigate environmentally suspect companies. One such investigation results in an attempt on his life that leaves his wife dead, his daughter Emma seemingly in a coma and the loss of his special abilities in the ether and as a martial artist.
He discovers he has been betrayed by Coultas, a former comrade from his old military unit who is now employed by the company he has been investigating. Coultas reveals that Emma is being held captive in the ether to ensure Adam’s silence.
In order to recover his abilities to fight and project, Adam returns to his old aikido sensei for help. Through rigorous aikido training employing the genuine Ki principles of Tohei Sensei, 10th Dan, he makes the breakthrough needed in order to go into the ether to find Emma. When his training is complete Adam and Emma’s bodies must be protected in the real world while he searches for her in the ether. To ensure their safety they are taken to his sensei’s mansion where they are guarded by aikido and sword experts who patrol the mansion and grounds in anticipation of the attack that will come from Coultas and his henchmen.
Adam finds Emma and they race to get back to their earthbound bodies evading their pursuers in the ether whilst their protectors at the mansion repel the attack of the company men intent on killing them.
Adam and Emma make it back and the final fight is an earthbound martial arts fight between him and his former comrade, Coultas.

The Writer: Alan Fleet

I started out as a novelist and Woollyback was my first novel to be published in July 2000. Two years later this was selected by the UK Film Council for a tutored adaptation at Bournemouth Film School which in turn led to me completing a Masters in Screenwriting in 2006. To date I have made five short films, the first of which, Giri, won four festival awards, written five novels and one novella, completed a six-part TV drama and written seven feature screenplays, one of which, Summerisle, is a spec sequel to The Wicker Man that Robin Hardy had expressed interest in directing through personal contact before his untimely death.
