Synopsis/Details
PEUGEOT (16) is an unusual teenager: calm and focused, her mission in life clear to her.
When she visits DR. HAUSSMAN (50), a famous New York based psychiatrist, little does he know she is there not as a patient but as a match maker. Dr. Haussman is to go on a date with Peugeot's mother. He must. If not, Peugeot will kill herself. To demonstrate she means her words, Peugeot reveals multiple scars from self-harming.
Next, Peugeot needs to convince her mother SANDRA (50), that going on a date after her husband has died, is a good idea. Sandra, ever so focused on her looks, doesn't believe she looks good enough for a date.
When Dr. Haussman calls Sandra and leaves a message about Peugeot's mental state, Sandra panics and agrees to a date, in exchange for a promise that Peugeot will open up and share her dark thoughts.
When Sandra and Dr. Haussman meet, they soon realise that they are former high school sweethearts, who lost touch with each other over the years. Their connection is instant and sparks fly almost immediately.
Peugeot, watching them through the restaurant window is satisfied; her mission had been accomplished. The chances are, her mother will have found the happiness; thus Peugeot can go ahead with her plan to commit suicide. She has always wanted to be a boy but she knew how much this admission would hut her mother. Dying seems like a more viable option.
The question is: will Peugeot die or will she be saved?
