The Harvest

The lives of two Buddhist Monks become inextricably entwined, when their relationship escalates from being spiritual brothers to becoming arch enemies. They are reincarnated over time and hunt each other relentlessly, seeking vengeance to settle an old score. On their journey they embody alternate human forms, their only identifying marker being a tattoo of a Rampant Dragon imprinted on the inside of their wrists. Their reincarnation advances them from ancient time to a technologically advanced society, where they use their Buddhist training and skills to achieve their goals as they seek to conquer each other on a whole new level. Laoshi and Edward are Buddhist Monks who have found themselves on a seemingly irreversible path when they crossed over to the dark side. They are hunting each other through time to settle an old score. They have been reincarnated several times before in a period spanning hundreds of years, and in truth, are quite weary of these unrelenting travels. They know that the only way they can end their lives is when they are in human form. Laoshi has the powerful force of the mind and his great wisdom, while Edward still has the luxury and stamina of his youth. Both Laoshi and Edward are seeking the strength in each other. They both know that if they do not succeed, they will not survive. Laoshi and Edward are very much alike, and in many respects think the same way. They consider each other to be a worthy adversary. If they do not prevail, they have already chosen to end their lives as a last resort rather than succumb to their nemesis. As Laoshi says, "It is only a contemplation of last resort...Nothing more."
