Synopsis/Details
This is EP 4 of my original series - The Madman's Daily Unequivocal Comedy, which is my take on shows like Black Mirror and The Twilight Zone. This is my first time writing an animated script. This is also the first time I attempted to include some original musical numbers. Music has always been the driving force in my life. I am a songwriter but never tried to incorporate my songwriting skills into a script before, in terms of a complete musical. Man & Deer is a personal story about gambling addiction and how gambling can take over someone's life. I was never really able to control myself when I gambled and I constantly lied to myself, thinking that I could make a living or secondary income through gambling. I was influenced by a lot of cartoons. Rick and Morty, Family Guy, SouthPark, The Simpsons (to name a few). This episode can really be about any type of addiction though, not just gambling. Megalomania, hypocrisy, ego-maniacs, delusions of grandeur and the many other forms of temptation. Thankfully I was able to break my gambling addiction. Hopefully others can at least ponder the danger of gambling, other addictions, after reading this story.

The Writer: Raymond Giuffrida

I am a screenwriter and songwriter. I've been working over the last few years on my series idea - The Madman's Daily Unequivocal Comedy, which is my take on shows like The Twilight Zone and Black Mirror. I have 12 episodes written for season one and many ideas for future episodes. Each episode features new characters/settings, although some episodes continue previous storylines. Also have three feature-length screenplays ready to be produced. Go to bio
