Synopsis/Details
Erin, pseudonymous for Hanley Rowell. He is an author of four novels and sold maybe a handful. His relationships failed one after the
other and they weren’t very long to begin with. He’s very unstable in the job department and always causing trouble with his alternative truths. He has a
cousin Selma Elli, that in his mind is unattractive but successful and married to a man that’s with her for stability only.
Selma never knew how he felt about her
until a situation occurs that unleashes strong emotions. She is not a people person and keeps to herself. She doesn’t think highly of Erin because he lies a lot but
now she sees him from a different perspective. He accuses a young girl of liking him and spreads lies about it. The young girl, Barbie Jones, thinks he’s a
weirdo and wants him to stay as far away from him as possible. Selma’s neighbor, Misty Jones, minds everybody’s business. She also Barbie’s aunt.
Barbie lives
with her aunt and regrets the day she meant Erin. Selma referred Erin to Dr. Aubrey Sensy, a psychiatrist who after speaking with him recommended he make
an appointment to see him on a regular basis. The story has a love-hate love relationship that Erin feels toward the people he antagonizes. He can’t
get past his emotions when things doesn’t go in his favor and others seem to be succeeding.
When there are opportunities for him, he ignores advice.
He doesn’t take it as constructive criticism and becomes a vulgar person. When things start happening for his cousin, he gets bitter.
