A 12 x 60 minute fantasy drama series proposal
By Kathryn Wasson
A seemingly ageless woman is God’s only Daughter and the catalyst for a war
between mythical creatures and a godless society.
The Sacreds is a story about people, monsters and the similarities between them.
Blending fantasy and religious subject matter, the series takes a measured look at
the human condition and the mythological nature of religion.
KARIS is tortured by the godless society that inhabits her father’s world. Witches,
warlocks, vampires, zombies and other mythical creatures all exist in hiding and are
referred to as “Sacreds”. All Sacreds are deeply religious.
Episode one begins with Karis murdering someone’s abusive husband with psychic
supernatural ability. We quickly establish her distaste for mankind and it’s godless
ways. She gathers her disciples to a near by church where she explains that she has
decided to “lift the cap”. This means all Sacreds will now have the ability to convert
humans to mythical creatures. It’s almost unanimously seen as a bad idea by her
loyal disciples.
Her disciples consist of:
Marcus: Werewolf Sacred. Murphy: Warlock Sacred. Liana: Vampire Sacred.
After the cap is lifted chaos ensues, her disciples begin to resent her even further as
the lifting of the cap negatively impacts their personal lives. Marcus and Murphy
both struggle to be loyal to Karis while juggling new relationships. While past
conflicts between Karis and Liana come to light.
Throughout season one, Karis and her ex lover Lucifer go head to head in a complex
and vindictive war to control the nature of being on earth. Loyalties are tested and
alliances shift as mankind undergoes an extreme transformation.

The Writer: Kathryn Wasson

I always feel weird writing about myself. I would rather create characters. I grew up in Indianapolis and always had a passion for writing. My dream growing up was to move to L.A. and join the entertainment industry, but life doesn't always ask you what you want. Don't get me wrong, I love my life and have a very successful career in the automotive industry, but my kids are grown and the time has come to focus my energy on my dream career. Better late than never. I have several scripts, but my focus right now is my T.V. series and pilot. I love a challenge and this will be my finest work to date! Go to bio
