Synopsis/Details
Historian Dr. Gabriel Jarraway travels to Italy to deliver a lecture at the Florence University of the Arts and to promote his recently published book, "The Sun Does Not Move." The book contains controversial ideas about the work of Leonardo da Vinci; specifically, how da Vinci's ideas, theories, sketches, etc., are strikingly relevant to solving some of the world's present-day challenges such as climate change, city planning, world peace and conflict. He believes we need to look back to the Renaissance polymath's works to produce new solutions for today's problems. His lecture is well-received and a successful book-signing ensues. Then... A mysterious driver transports him to a strange cathedral somewhere in Florence. There, he meets an enigmatic figure and two otherworldly beings who guide him through the cathedral toward a sinister-looking room where he is told that he must pass a test. The menacing alien beings turn out to be ancient extra-terrestrials tasked with preserving the existence of humankind by keeping specific essential people alive, eternally if necessary. Jarraway is suspected of being genealogically connected to da Vinci and, therefore, capable of working with the still-living da Vinci to create a vision for a new, better world. They put him through a harrowing test to see if he is, indeed, the missing link capable of bringing da Vinci's ideas to the forefront of modern ideology. If he fails the test, it is a death sentence. If he passes, he will look into the eyes of Leonardo da Vinci himself.

Here to rep the nation's capitol: Ottawa. I'm an acting teacher, published poet and short story writer who made the switch to screenplays in recent years. I've been a theatre director/actor/designer since sometime in the last century. My passion project is to bring the true story of a Canadian hero named Yvon Durelle (DOUX, Quarter-Finalist in Screencraft True Story ), a boxer who fought the great champion Archie Moore in 1958 for the World Light-Heavyweight title, to the screen. Since we're Canadian, we don't usually celebrate our heroes with the passion they have inspired in us. We have to change that. This is the perfect time for us to remember Durelle's remarkable life and career. Just… Go to bio
